Harvest Africa Initiative

Dr. Nakalembe leads the Harvest Africa initiative spearheading the uptake and integration of EO data by national and regional agencies to support decision-making and to benefit food security, agriculture, and human and environmental resilience with a focus on Africa Africa. Program priorities are:

1. Improving monitoring and early warning systems that provide actionable data and information on agricultural productivity and food security at multiple scales;

2. Advancing methods that underpin the data and systems; 

3. Developing and transferring capacity to national and local users to influence decision making; and

4. Developing strong, long-term, sustainable partnerships.
